Young Investigators Group Microbial Bioelectrocatalysis and Bioelectrotechnology

Dr. rer. nat. habil. Falk Harnisch

The Young Investigators Group of the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ is dedicated to microbial electrochemical technologies (MET). MET are based on the interfacing of microorganisms and electrodes for allowing the conversion of electric energy in chemical energy carriers as well as platform chemicals. The work comprises fundamental research across scales as well as the development of the technologies from the lab bench to technical scale.
